Frequently Asked Questions

Am I eligible to become a member?

If you’re currently a property owner in Stoney Creek (improved or unimproved), you’re eligible! Learn more here.

If you are a long-term resident renter (with a lease of one year or more), you are eligible for an associate membership. Note: Associate members cannot vote on club matters.

If you own property on Wintergreen Mountain, you should check out the Wintergreen Mountain Association here.

How much is membership?

Membership is $20 per year per household family. Learn more here.

What does my membership fee cover?

Your membership gets you a complimentary copy of our annual printed members directory, allows you to participate in our club social events and excursions; and helps us cover our operating costs (including new member packets, directory cost, webpage fees as well as help subsidize some of our member events).

As a resident of Stoney Creek, WVA membership includes the annual copy of the printed Wintergreen Directory and timely email bulletins, newsletters and invitations to social events and excursions.

Do I need to have my information printed in the member directory?

Participation in the directory is entirely voluntary. But even if you opt out, you’ll still get a copy.

Are my membership fee, or the cost of event tickets tax deductible?

The Wintergreen Valley Association is registered as a 501(c)(7) non-stock corporation in Virginia. Donations, dues, and ticket prices are NOT tax deductible.

I have a question regarding community standards, neighborhood regulations, or a complaint regarding neighborhood maintenance - who should I contact?
