Frequently Asked Questions

Am I eligible to become a member?

If you’re currently a property owner in Stoney Creek (improved or unimproved), you’re eligible! Learn more here.

If you are a long-term resident renter (with a lease of one year or more), you are eligible for an associate membership. Note: Associate members cannot vote on club matters.

If you own property on Wintergreen Mountain, you should check out the Wintergreen Mountain Association here.

How much is membership?

Membership is $20 per year per household family. Learn more here.

Our property is owned by two or more families. Is one membership enough?

If you co-own your property with another family, they will need their own $20/year membership.

What does my membership fee cover?

Your membership gets you a complimentary copy of our annual printed members directory, allows you to participate in our club events, and helps us cover our operating costs (including new member packets, directory cost, webpage fees as well as help subsidize some of our member events).

Do I need to have my information printed in the member directory?

Participation in the directory is entirely voluntary. But even if you opt out, you’ll still get a copy.

I’ve sold my property. Can I still be a member?

If your membership is current but you’re selling your property, you may continue to pay your annual membership and remain a member. Just don’t let it lapse! You’ll continue to receive the directory and emails and you’ll be able to attend events. But please note that you’ll no longer be a voting member.

Are my membership fee, or the cost of event tickets tax deductible?

Dues and ticket prices are NOT tax deductible.

I have a question regarding community standards, neighborhood regulations, or a complaint regarding neighborhood maintenance - who should I contact?

Contact the Wintergreen Property Owners Assocation here.
